Kayaking & Canoeing
Lansing is situated at the junction of the Red Cedar River and the Grand River (the longest river in Michigan) which lends itself to so many river paddling and rowing opportunities between Lansing and any number of adjacent towns. River Town Adventures is located along the Lansing River Trail in downtown Lansing and offers rentals of single and tandem kayaks, canoes, SUPs and even cruising bicycles. River Town has multiple options for rentals and adventures lasting from an hour to four hours or more.
Greater Lansing’s county and city parks with lakes both large and small also are available like Crego Park and Hawk Island Park for the kayakers and canoeists as is Sleepy Hollow State Park. Some of the county parks with lakes offer rentals.
Best of all, there are multiple accessible EZ Launch docks throughout the region to make getting in and out of the water a breeze.
